Inbound Rule

Inbound rules protect the network from incoming traffic from the internet and more.

Inbound -> protect from incoming

Inbound rules protect the network from malware and DDOS attacks.

Outbound Rule

Outbound rules prevent traffic from going out, such as requests to suspicious websites, VPN connections and email services,

Outbound firewall rules protect against outgoing traffic, such as requests to questionable or dangerous websites, VPN connections and email services, such as Post Office Protocol version 3, Internet Message Access Protocol and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
